Marrying Zebra Prefill and Pilot Color Eno 0.7mm Leads

I've always been fond of the Pilot Color Eno leads, which are essentially erasable color pencils in mechanical form.

The Color Enos come in 8 different colors (Introduction to Color Eno), and I've always been wanting to use them with my Pilot Coleto 5-pen barrels, figuring I could have FIVE different color leads in one barrel outfitted with mechanical pencil modules, except there is just one problem. The Coleto system only comes with mechanical pencil modules in 0.5mm and 0.3mm forms. The Color Eno needs 0.7mm ones.  :(  So both the Coleto and Color Eno are from Pilot, but made incompatible.

Until I discovered the Zebra Prefill system. It comes with 0.7mm mechanical pencil modules, which I can fit 4 in a 4-pen barrel. And in each mechanical pencil module, I can fill with different Color Eno leads!

The combo can be purchased at my Etsy Store.

Here is showing the 4- barrel Prefill with two 0.7mm mechanical pencil modules, and two gel refills of red and black ink.

All four cartridges installed in the 4-pen barrel.

Looking good.

The only inconvenience is that the leads have to be front loaded into the mechanical pencil module. But if you do this carefully, it's not too much of a hassle, and the leads do last a while.

And voila! Now you can have FOUR erasable colors at your disposal when journaling, and they are ERASABLE with regular large size erasers! I still think erasing large areas is easier with regular erasers compared to the Pilot FriXions.
